E-Waste Leads to Learning –  By Goodwill Manasota

E-waste is an ongoing problem in the US. The US EPA estimates consumers and businesses discarded 2.37 million tons; just 25 percent of these electronics were collected for recycling, with the remainder disposed of in landfills.

Goodwill Manasota is addressing this problem before it hits the landfill with an e-waste refurbishing and digital learning program called Tech Connection, located in the newest Goodwill store in Lakewood Ranch. Tech Connection features securely, refurbished computers, tech components and more with pre-loaded Microsoft Operating Systems and Digital Literacy Curriculum. –  continued in this issue…
