The facility features a 3\,000-ton tipping floor\, an outbound residue loading area\, an inner and outer scale\, and an optical sorter that quickly and efficiently separates plastic water bottles from other materials. The facility is staffed by more than 30 employees and is open for shipping and receiving materials from 8 am – 4 pm\, Monday – Friday\, with processing hours extending from 6 am – midnight. Dr. Sobel and has also served as faculty at Earth & Life University in Mexico\, teaching the first Spanish-language doctoral-level course on circular economies in the world. \nPeter Fedele is the founder and owner of Lion Farms\, which is a Global Good Agricultural Practices (GLOBAL G.A.P.) and USDA-certified organic farm\, specializing in gourmet mushrooms\, tropical fruits\, aquaponics\, microgreens and eggs. Utilizing regenerative practices\, they enhance soil health and significantly reduce waste utilizing vermiculture.
