SUMMARY:FLCC Event Share: Compost Training Sunshine Organics & Compost
DESCRIPTION:Tweet\n Compost Training Sunshine Organics & Compost \nBy: Florida Compost Council \nWhere: Jacksonville\, FL \nWhen: May 8\, 2025 \nTime: 9 AM to 1:00 PM \n \nSPEAKERS \nDr. Monica Hampton is well-known in agriculture. She has been called Florida’s “Compost Queen” through her research and workshops on compost utilization through UF/IFAS and the US Composting Council.  She is the founder and CEO of TerraNutri\, LLC.\, a consulting company specializing in research and development in agriculture/compost and composting. You can contact her at Linkedin.com/in/Monica Hampton. \nChristina Kelcourse Esq.\, CFP\, CRPC\, co-owner of Sunshine Organics and Compost.  Christina has built a career around serving the community. Her career started in corporate finance; growing an elite financial planning practice focused on ESG investing that spanned into advanced corporate training\, eventually becoming a regional managing director. As an attorney\, she has owned and operated an estate planning law firm\, working with clients to create a solid plan to protect them and their families.  Then\, she seized the opportunity to start a fresh\, innovative non-profit: the North Florida Green Chamber of Commerce where she served as Executive Director and run operations. In this role she was passionate about bringing climate-smart practices to over 200 organizations within 24 industries. A native Floridian\, she knows the land and the people. She is married to Mike Kelcourse the other co-owner of Sunshine and together they have three children.  \n  \nSunshine Organics and Compost President and Founder\, Michael Kelcourse\, started his professional career on a family farm. Always a hard worker\, starting at the bottom and working his way up from bailing hay and plowing fields\, to eventually holding positions as Financial Analyst to General Manager.  As Chief Financial Officer for Re-Harvest\, Inc.\, a recycling facility in New England\, he learned valuable insight into how the waste industry works. With this knowledge\, he successfully started Kelco Recycling\, a cardboard\, paper\, and plastics recycling business that he owned and operated for over a decade.  His path eventually led to food recycling\, which inspired him to start Sunshine Organics and Compost. Now\, the first and only food waste commercial compost facility in Duval County\, Michael is in charge of daily operations\, compliance\, and maintenance\, as well as securing all the tonnages across the scales at Sunshine.  \n  \nREGISTRATION IS REQUIRED \n  \nThe half-day training will be provided at $50 for non-members and $40 for members per participant. Compost manufacturers must also meet all state or federal regulatory standards regarding facility\, environmental and process management in order to participate in the STA program. \nIn this webinar\, the FLCC will present experts on the USCC STA program\, composting regulatory guidelines\, and best practices when approaching State officials and contractors with regard to compost specification and application. Following the presentations\, participants will have an opportunity to enter breakout rooms with each of our presenters to ask questions about their topics and more. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClick Here to Register!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n$500 Webinar Event Sponsorship\nBenefits Include:\n\n\nYour logo included on event promotion from the USCC and FLCC with a link to your organization’s website. \n\n\nTime offered for a representative to give a 1-minute share about your organization and services. \n\n\nPromotion as an event sponsor on FLCC social media sites. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClick here to become a webinar sponsor!\n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMeet Our Speakers\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClick Here to Register!
