SUMMARY:ABC’s of AD: Anaerobic Digestion (AD) and Organic Waste Co-Digestion
DESCRIPTION:Tweet\n \n  \nAnaerobic digestion (AD) can be used to treat organic materials such as food waste together with municipal wastewater treatment biosolids to produce renewable energy and provide a beneficial soil amendment byproduct. Organics co-digestion is an option for effective management of various waste products that requires coordination across multiple stakeholder groups. This webinar will feature educational presentations from industry experts on the basics of organic waste co-digestion\, recent research\, utilization of biogas and soil amendments\, how FDEP is changing its regulatory structure to encourage anaerobic digestion projects statewide and how EPA is helping expand anaerobic digester capacity and reducing food waste. Continuing education units for PE licenses will be available to participants. \n  \nWhere:  Online \nWhen:  Tuesday\, October 20\, 2020 \nTime:  9:30 AM to 12 Noon \n  \nRegistration Rates:   \n$25.00 – RFT members \n$35.00 – Not a member of RFT (webinar only) \nAgenda:\n\nWelcome remarks and introduction of Recycle Florida Today\, Inc.\n\nChris Snow\, Co-Chair of Recycle Florida Today\, Inc. Organics Recycling Committee and Consolidated Resource Recovery (CRR)\n\n\nHow AD and Co-Digestion Works to Solve Many Problems\n\nJohn Banks\, Energy Systems Group\n\n\nRecent Research on Co-Digestion of Organic Waste\n\nDan Meeroff Ph.D.\, Director of Laboratories for Engineered Environmental Solutions\, Florida Atlantic University Department of Civil\, Environmental & Geomatics Engineering\n\n\nUtilization of AD Fuel Products and Contracting Process\n\nBill Blake\, TECO Energy\n\n\nAD Digestate Composting\n\nDavid Hill\, Co-Chair of Recycle Florida Today\, Inc.
