Recycle Florida Today, Inc. Announces 2021-2022 Board of Directors
Ocala, FL (June 22, 2021) – Recycle Florida Today, Inc., Florida’s state recycling organization (SRO), announced this year’s board of directors, including four incumbents and two newly ratified members for a two-year term. Joining the board are new members, Susan Flak of Indian River County and Timothy LaMontagne of Lee County Solid Waste Department. Susan and Timothy will serve two years alongside four incumbent directors that were re-elected to the Board.
Directors re-elected to the board include, Carmen Bruno of Hernando County Solid and Recycling, Rob Eck of Sierra Container Group, Shelley Samec of Alachua County Solid Waste & Resource Recovery, and Miriam Zimms of Kessler Consulting, Inc., who also served as immediate past secretary of the organization.
In addition to welcoming incoming directors, the Board met virtually, and the Executive Committee was elected:
- Chairperson – Carmen Bruno, Hernando County Solid Waste and Recycling
- Vice Chairperson – Shelley Samec, Alachua County Solid Waste & Resource Recovery
- Secretary – Patti Hammond, Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County
- Treasurer – Chris Snow, Consolidated Resource Recovery, Inc.

The 2021-2022 Recycle Florida Today’s Board of Directors are: Carmen Bruno of Hernando County Solid Waste and Recycling; Jim Davis of Capital Area Sustainability Compact; Rob Eck of Sierra Container Group; Susan Flak of Indian River County; Patti Hammond of the Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County; Gina Hawkins of Keep Alachua County Beautiful; Stephanie Kissinger of Waste Management Inc. of Florida; Timothy Lamontagne of Lee County Solid Waste Department; Dayna Miller of Waste Pro; Shelley Samec of Alachua County Solid Waste & Resource Recovery; Chris Snow of Consolidated Resource Recovery, Inc.; and Miriam Zimms of Kessler Consulting, Inc.
