Professional Development (PD) Wellness
Thursday, April 28, 2022 PM (EST) – Zoom Webinar
Join award-winning artist and Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT), Miriam Zimms, as she leads us step-by-step through a meditative art form that reduces stress and anxiety and is just plain fun. During this PD wellness exercise, you will maximize both the use of the right and left brain for an Earth Day expressive tangling celebration. Whether you are working at home or back in the office, please invite your coworkers or family to join, respectively.

Miriam Zimms is a 30-year veteran in the solid waste management and recycling industry. She has developed award-winning programs for local governments, corporations and recreational facilities/events throughout the Southeast. She is known as an innovative and creative program plan writer and implementer. She understands arts role in supporting wellness programs, a healthy work-balance lifestyle to manage stress, while allowing her technical skills to continually adapt in an age in which both technical and soft skills (left brain – right brain) are required to succeed. Miriam considers herself to be a creative in both business and art. Miriam is the Director of Special Programs for Kessler Consulting, Inc.
What tools will you need to participate?
These are the supplies needed, which you should have at home, but if you want to work with artist supplies, links are provided for them. They can be purchased at any art or craft supply store in your community or online.
- 8 ½” by 11” copy/printing paper (OR art paper)
- #2 pencil
- Black or Blue pen (OR artist pen)
- Colored pencils/pens/crayons (not required, optional)
- Q-tip (OR) Blending Stump)
