Greetings!
Take time to review the candidates for our 2021-2023 Board of Directors and cast your vote! This year Recycle Florida Today, Inc. has six (6) positions to be filled by candidates to represent the board. RFT uses electronic voting to streamline the elections process. This web-based e-ballot promotes our mission of waste reduction, it’s convenient and should result in higher election participation.

Candidate Statement –
I would like to be re-elected to the board in order to continue the good work that we have done over the last 4 years. While new ideas are always critical for groups to stay current I believe that I have more to offer to help RFT continue to grow into the premiere recycling organization in our state.

Candidate Statement –As a dedicated volunteer to the RFT organization for nearly 10 years, I take pride in knowing that my efforts today can hopefully help the greater good for the future. By working diligently with the other Board members on behalf of the RFT organization, I feel that we can set an example for a first class State Recycling Organization and provide opportunities for our members to gain true value from the organization and continue to expand our efforts.
Candidate Statement –As an environmental professional it is my personal mission to continue to help to actively educate and implement environmental stewardship and fellowship to those in my community and in our state at large. I strongly believe that, through networking and providing available opportunities, the RFT team of professionals is a vital partner and supporter of my mission. It is my commitment to continue to work with RFT to build an even larger and stronger network of individuals and educate them on the benefits of becoming an RFT member. The recycling industry can be both challenging and rewarding, but being a member of RFT is the greatest platform of support we can have.
Candidate Statement –
David Hill is an environmental marketing consultant in Sarasota. He brings: • >25 years experience operating large composting facilities (municipal and industrial) and in marketing composts and compost-based products • B.S. in Horticulture and an M.S. in Marketing. • Certified Compost Systems Manager by SWANA, • 10 years on Board of Directors of the U.S. Composting Council, Board Vice-President for 3 years, former Chair of the Legislative and Environmental Affairs Committee. I am anxious to continue in leadership activities as a Board member with RFT.

Experienced Solid Waste and Recycling professional both in the Private and Public Sector; specifically, collections and post collections operations management, including contract management for Material Recovery Facilities. Energetic individual who enjoys challenges and networking with others to improve relationships and processes.
Candidate Statement –
Being on the Board of Directors of Recycle Florida Today means a lot to me, I have really enjoyed being a board member. I would really appreciate everyone’s vote! I will work hard to make an impact on the board and do my best. I have been in the industry since 2010 and have learned a lot in that time that I can use. I want to be able to find solutions to the problems we are all facing out there in the recycling community. I believe together we can make the changes in the legislation! I want the conferences to be productive, educational and fun!
Candidate Statement –I have been on a passionate mission since 1992 to create an economical and sustainable waste prevention and reduction industry in FL with my coworkers, peers and partnerships. No matter where I’ve worked or who I’ve worked for (public, private, non-profit, statewide) that has been the role I’ve played and the organization’s mission. I personally want to create and leave a legacy of sustainability to Florida and Recycle Florida Today.
