Full Day Organics Track

Organics Recycling Industry!!  Come to the Recycle Florida Today’s Annual Conference in St. Augustine, Florida held from June 12 – 14 and participate in a special Organics Day Track on Tuesday, June 14th!

Recycle Florida Today has a full Day of Organics Recycling and Recovery presentations, a presentation and discussion with the President of the U.S. Composting Council, and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s half day workshop to develop an Organics Recycling and Recovery Strategic Plan for the State of Florida.  Come and work together with the Florida’s Organic Recycling industry to advance compostingOrganics Recycling and Recovery in the State of Florida.

RFT’s one day rate for the Organics Recycling Track is $125 for members and $165 for non-members.  This rate includes the full day of Organic Recycling and Recovery presentations, presentation by the President of the US Composting Council and the FDEP half-day Workshop to develop an Organics Recycling and Recovery Strategic Plan for the State of Florida; as well as two breaks, lunch and entrance to the Exhibit hall.

 

FDEP Workshop:   Participation is FREE!  Attendees are welcomed to attend the FDEP Organics Recycling Strategic Plan Workshop on Tuesday, June 14 from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM free of charge.  Participants may register online by clicking here.  Registrants for this special workshop may pick up their badges ten (10) minutes before the session starts at the conference registration desk.

 Session Summary:  Lorrie Loder, President of the US Composting Council (USCC) will provide an overview of how the US Composting Council is helping to grow the compost manufacturing infrastructure.  Special attention will be paid to the Seal of Testing Assurance program, along with their education, certification and advocacy activities.

 FDEP’s Organics Recycling Strategic Plan Workshop

Session Summary:  Come and be a part of FDEP’s efforts to develop an Organics Recovery and Recycling Strategic Plan for the State of Florida.  Organics make up a significant amount of the State’s waste stream and needs to be recovered and recycled at much higher levels for the State of Florida to meet its 75% Recycling Goal.  Please assist the FDEP in its efforts to develop a strategic plan to accomplish this.  FDEP has secured the services of EPA’s Region 4’s Professional Facilitator to assist in this effort.
