Subject: Dues Renewal and $50 Rate increase
Dear RFT Member:
Since 1988 and the passage of the Solid Waste Management Act, Recycle Florida Today (RFT) has been in place as a member-driven association in Florida to service the needs of reduction, recycling and composting professionals. RFT is Florida’s state premier professional association for resource conservation and environmental stewardship through sustainable source and waste prevention and legislative advocacy for the institutional, private, public, and non-profit sectors.
Our last membership rate increase was in 2018. Sustaining Florida’s environment and the association requires fiscally accountability and creating innovative annual professional development opportunities to all our members. To support the organizations needs in addressing these issues, the Board voted to raise the membership dues by $50 from $150 to $200 for EXISTING member renewals and from $175 to $225 for NEW members joining the association. You will see this amount reflected in your upcoming renewal that takes effect for your 2022 membership renewal. Renew your membership today. Membership expires each year on December 31st.
This increase will allow us to continue to provide a strong return on your membership investment that includes but is not limited to the following activities.
- increasing educational membership services to include virtual and hybrid offerings,
- stay abreast of technological advances and make changes as necessary,
- balance operational costs, keep expenses at bay, and develop on-point programs,
- keep members aware of industry regulations and legislation,
- provide applicable and useful industry resources,
- finding ways to remain financially sound during uncertain economic times, and
- developing innovative strategies and expanding programs to serve our members.
Thank you for being a part of and contributing to the association. Our goal for 2022 is to sustain our current membership while allowing for reasonable growth.
