Join and help us plan and develop PHASE 2 of our Recycle Florida Today Foundation education and outreach efforts for funding to help you continue to promote and grow recycling in Florida. We want to hear from you! The meeting will also give an overview of how to promote our specialty plate voucher, provide promotional resources for partners, a digital promotional toolkit, and answer questions you may have.

Recycle Florida Today Foundation, Inc. is organized to serve and support the professional development and related objectives of source reduction and waste prevention, reuse, recycling, composting, reduction of wasted food, and sustainability professionals through education, grants, research, and certifications.

We are happy to announce that through the MYDMV Portal customers will be able to purchase pre-sale vouchers.

In order to purchase a voucher customers must create their account or sign in to their existing account. The website is www.flhsmv.gov, once logged in they will need to select the MOTOR VEHICLE option in the banner and then select Specialty License Plate Voucher.

Apply for a“Recycle Florida” specialty plate voucher assistance grant!

How to apply for the voucher assistance grant:

Purchase your “Recycle Florida” voucher online at https://county-taxes.net/dmv/indianriver/vouchers/#recycle_florida or your local DMV of choice.
Complete the grant survey application providing your information, uploading a copy of your voucher purchase, and indicating that you would like to apply for a voucher grants, while available. Survey link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/sapphireamericasrecyclefloridaassistancegrant.
Submissions will be reviewed on a first-come, first-awarded basis.
Awards will be made for the grant based on availability, pending that the grant application is complete, proof of voucher purchase is provided, and indication that you are applying for the voucher grant is selected.
Upon approval, you will receive an email notification to the email address provided and notification that your specialty voucher assistance grant has been awarded in the amount of $32.50, the cost of the voucher on the Indian River County Tax Collector’s website, our primary host for the “Recycle Florida” specialty plate and voucher.
The applicant and proof of purchase contact name must match.
Awards will be mailed to the address and named contact provided on the grant application survey.

How to get your voucher?

Only purchase your voucher online at the Indian River County Tax Collector’s Office at https://govhub.com/indianriver/vouchers/#recycle_florida.

Purchase your voucher “in-person” at any tax collector’s office or DMV. Tell the clerk you want the “Recycle Florida” specialty plate voucher.

Vouchers are non-refundable. You will need to enter the license plate number for a vehicle owned by the person purchasing the voucher.

What is the cost?

The cost of the specialty voucher is $32.50 online. However, you may be subject to renewal or other fees based on your individual situation implemented by the DMV or tax collector’s office beyond the voucher purchase. The DMV or tax collector’s office will be able to provide more information on your individual situation. When will you receive your voucher and specialty plate?

When your transaction has been processed, the customer may receive with a Specialty License Plate Voucher Receipt.
Once all requirements have been met (we must sell 3,000 vouchers), the department will place the order for the specialty license plate. When they are manufactured, they will be sent to the county tax collector offices and will be distributed to the license plate agencies in their county.
At the end of the 2-year period, if the organization has not met the 3,000 pre-sale vouchers the department will discontinue the specialty license plate voucher and it will no longer be available for sale. If this happens, customers that purchased the voucher can use the credit toward another specialty license plate or request a refund.
